Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Tier Lists
Honest ratings for every class, weapon, and Horde build.
The tier list hub aggregates ratings for classes, weapons, and Horde compositions. Context matters — a class that dominates in Horde may underperform in campaign. Use these ratings as a guide, not a rulebook.
What is rated
- Classes — All six classes across Campaign, Horde, and Solo contexts.
- Weapons — Top weapons in each category.
- Horde Builds — Recommended squad compositions for deep Horde runs.
Tier definitions
S Tier — Best in slot. Consistently outperforms alternatives in the relevant context. Build around these.
A Tier — Strong. Near the top of their category. Excellent choices with the right build.
B Tier — Solid. Viable in most situations. Require specific conditions or build investment to reach full potential.
C Tier — Situational. Strong in narrow contexts. Outperformed by higher tiers in most situations.
How ratings are determined
Ratings are based on performance across difficulty levels, effectiveness with random squads versus coordinated groups, and alignment with current meta. They are updated following major balance patches.
Patch 1 moved explosive Duelist out of the trap bin and restored companion-bot perks. If a list you bookmarked still calls Explosive Rounds dead, it is pre-patch. Re-read Patch 1 then the class list and Horde builds.
Use Classes for kits and Weapons for gun families. Difficulty names here are Casual, Standard, Intense, Extreme, and Insane — not Rookie or Veteran.
How to read the three lists
Start with class ranks if you are picking a marine for a pub. Open weapon ranks after you already know the kit, because a pulse rifle that is S-tier on Duelist is not automatically S-tier on Medic. Use Horde comps only for dedicated survival maps — campaign Standard does not need a four-Marauder meme.
The desktop nav shows a short dropdown, then this hub for the rest. That is intentional. A twenty-row dropdown is slower than three honest links. Pair the lists with the squad planner before a Horde night and with Patch 1 whenever a number you memorised no longer matches the hive.
