Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Tools

Settings that actually help, plus squad planning and spec checks.

Tools Hub

The Tools hub is for decisions you make before you drop: graphics that reduce hitching, a four-marine role check, and whether your PC meets the listed specs. Nothing here logs into your Daybreak or Steam account. Pair it with How to Play if you still need the rules of the road.

Available tools

  • PC Settings — Patch 1 did not fix frame pacing. Caps, fog, overlays, and crash notes for Steam and WinGDK.
  • Squad Planner — Four slots, role coverage, Specialist fill-ins. Use it before a Horde night, not during a wave.
  • System Requirements — Windows 11, RTX 2060 minimum, RX 6700 / RTX 3070 recommended. Meeting recommended does not guarantee smooth hive pacing at launch.

What these tools are not

They are not a DPS calculator and they do not scrape your save. Weapon rankings live on the weapons tier list. Class identity lives on the Classes hub. If you came here looking for redeem codes, this game does not run a live code drop the way some live-service titles do — check Weapons for loadouts instead.

After Patch 1

Region matchmaking can change who hosts your P2P session. If hitching is worse when you host, swap host or play with a closer fireteam. Companion-bot perks work again in multiplayer; rebuild squad plans that assumed bots were broken. Explosive Duelist is viable — the planner should not treat explosive rounds as a troll pick anymore.

Use the planner with How to Beat Horde for wave shops and with Achievements if you are booking a clean Intense run for Pure Professionals. Console players still need the spec page only if they also own the PC build; otherwise skip to class pages.

The three tools stay small on purpose. A desktop dropdown that lists twenty calculators is worse than a hub with three honest links. Extra ideas (DPS sheets, wave estimators) wait until they are actually built.

  • Patch 1 — the combat changes that make old preview builds obsolete.
  • Crossplay — invites and voice across stores.
  • Horde — where squad plans get tested.
